Allyson J. Kopel, M.D. was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and attended high school in La Jolla, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She attended medical school at The University of Texas in Houston. She completed a transitional year internship at Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas and her dermatology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Kopel has expertise in adult and pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the American Board of Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons.
