Sonali G. Hanson, M.D. completed her college education at Rice University in Houston, graduating magma cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology in 1991. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1995 and completed an internship in Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in 1996. During her internship, she trained at Texas Children's Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital. She did her residency training in in Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine from 1996-1999, and received her board certification in Dermatology in 1999.
She practiced general dermatology for a year in Houston with Suzanne Bruce and Associates, and then completed a one-year fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, training mainly at St. Louis Children's Hospital. She returned to Houston the summer of 2001 to begin building her Pediatric Dermatology practice with Suzanne Bruce and Associates.
She joined Nigro Dermatology Group in March 2004 to concentrate on her Pediatric Dermatology practice, and became board certified in the subspecialty of Pediatric Dermatology in October 2004.
Dr. Hanson is married and has two school-aged children.
