James Nigro, MD, is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist at Nigro Dermatology Group in Houston, Texas. 

Dr. Nigro received his Bachelor of Arts in human biology at Stanford University in 1984. He completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1988. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 1991 and a melanoma fellowship, also at UCSF, in 1992. Dr. Nigro furthered his training with a dermatology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1995, during which he served as the Chief Resident and the fellow in pediatric dermatology in his final year of residency. Dr. Nigro was board certified in pediatrics in 1991, board certified in dermatology in 1995, and board certified in pediatric dermatology in 2004.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Nigro was an assistant professor of dermatology and pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital from 1995-2000. During this time, he served as the Chief of Dermatology at Harris Health Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston. In June of 2000, he joined his wife, Dr. Marjory Nigro, in private practice and has since practiced pediatric dermatology exclusively. He remains on the dermatology faculty at the Baylor College of Medicine on a volunteer basis.
